BIOGRAPHY
Maddie Breedlove, named Voice of the Heartland in 2018, is currently a Filstrup Resident Artist with the Tulsa Opera in Tulsa, OK. Ms. Breedlove is known for her extreme versatility in her comedic and dramatic performances and her passion for genuine connection to the audience, the role, and cast. Ms. Breedlove has a love for many other music genres as well; she has performed in musicals since she was 10 years old, sings in soul, pop, country and classic rocks bands, and is the lead singer of her cover/original band "Breedlove". Her notable operatic and musical theatre roles include Cinderella's Stepmother in Into the Woods, Dorabella in Così fan Tutte, Judith in Bluebeard’s Castle, Eduige in Rodelinda, Hansel in Hansel and Gretel and Nancy in Oliver! the musical. Her European concert work includes singing as the mezzo soloist in Haydn’s St. Nicholas mass, Mozart’s Requiem and Haydn’s Heiligmesse performed In Eisenstadt, Austria, and traveled as a soloist with the Zielinski singers in cities across Poland. Ms. Breedlove graduated with her masters in opera from the University of Oklahoma under the teachings of Dr. Delores Leffingwell, Dr. Donna Mitchell-Cox, Dr. Celia Wollenberg, Marilyn Horne and coach Lorne Richstone.
